The sub-campus of Government College University, Faisalabad at Samundri has been included in Medium Term Development Framework (MIDF) 2021-24. It is also reflected in Annual Development Program (ADP) 2021-22 and presently under construction. This newly established sub-campus intends to provide opportunities of seeking quality education at affordable cost to the students of Samundri and adjoining towns. This scheme has been approved in Departmental Development Sub-Committee (DDSC) meeting held at Higher Education Department Government of Punjab. The PC-1 amounting to Rs 398.309 million has been approved. The construction of state of the art sub campus is underway on the state land measuring 211 Kanal 3 Marlas at Chak 469/GB Main Rajana-Samundari road just 3 km from main city. The land has been transferred by the Board of Revenue (BOR), Colonies Department Punjab. The Master Plan of Sub-campus comprises of state-of-art buildings including Academic Blocks, Hostels Administration Block, Faculty and Staff Residences, Masjid, Mini sports Complex, Cafeteria and other allied facilities has been prepared. The construction works has been started on site with full swing. Initially, several BS programmes covering some important fields of Social Sciences as well as Basic Sciences have been prioritized.
