The apportionment of marks is as under
Mid and final term exams are mandatory. The University will conduct the final term examination and will manage the paper settings, invigilation and paper marking etc.
As per the directions of Government of Punjab and HEC, it is recommended to phase out the BA/BSc programs and the launch of two-year Associate Degree Program (ADP) in its affiliated colleges and for external/private candidates. An Associate Degree is a two-year post-intermediate or equivalent academic degree. The concept behind introducing the associate degree program is to offer a skilled based degree. Associate degree is offered primarily in market driven subjects. The degree shall be considered as equal to 14-year Bachelor (Pass) degree.
The primary types of Associate Degree are:
Associate Degree in Arts (ADA)
Associate Degree in Science (ADS)
Associate Degree in Commerce (ADC)
The nomenclature of two-year BA/BSC and B.Com. degrees would be Associate Degree in Arts, Associate Degree in Science and Associate Degree in Commerce respectively for regular and private students. The system of examination for ADP will include annual and supplementary examinations. The concerned Board of Studies will frame the curricula of such programs.
Moreover, the HEC UGE & GE policy would be implemented mandatory in this University w.e.f. Fall 2024. The thesis evaluation under GEP 202 will be e optional from 2019 and onward sessions if thesis is not in process and mandatory for Session Fall 2023.
