Introduction
The Department of Information Management at Government College University Faisalabad (GCUF) is committed to preparing competent professionals equipped with the knowledge and skills required to manage information resources and services in a rapidly evolving digital environment. The Department emphasizes quality education, research, and practical learning in areas such as information organization and retrieval, information literacy, digital libraries, knowledge management, and emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI). Through classroom instruction, practical assignments, research activities, and collaborative learning, students develop professional competence, problem-solving abilities, and ethical awareness. The Department strives to prepare graduates to serve in academic, research and special libraries, information centers, and other information-intensive organizations, contributing to knowledge creation, informed decision-making, and the socio-economic development of the country.
