GCUF’s Business Incubation Center (BIC) Hosts Interactive Session for Entrepreneurship Faculty

FAISALABAD (March 4, 2026): In a strategic move to strengthen the university’s startup ecosystem, the Business Incubation Center (BIC) at Government College University Faisalabad (GCUF) organized an interactive discussion session for faculty members teaching the Entrepreneurship course (BAM-422/ENT-422).
The session, held following a formal collaboration proposal between BIC and Lyallpur Business School (LBS), aimed to align academic teaching with practical startup development. The initiative was spearheaded by Dr. Rizwan Shabbir, Execution Manager of BIC, and supported by Prof. Dr. Mohsin Bashir, Director of LBS. Key Highlights of the Session:
Curriculum Alignment: Faculty members from 32 departments were briefed on aligning course objectives with real-world startup facilitation.
Idea Screening: Discussions focused on the joint identification and screening of commercially viable student projects by a committee featuring Dr. Rizwan Shabbir and Course Leader Dr. Farooq Rehan. Experiential Learning: The session finalized plans for “Experiential Learning at BIC,” where students will attend specialized lectures at the center to gain first-hand exposure to the incubation environment before their mid-term examinations.
Pathways to Incubation: The BIC team highlighted the professional platform available for student idea showcasing at the BIC, STC New Campus, which provides a structured pathway for formal incubation and scaling market-ready ventures.
Speaking at the event, organizers emphasized that this collaboration is vital for bridging the gap between academic theory and practical business execution. By empowering faculty, the university aims to foster a more robust culture of innovation and entrepreneurship among the student body.
