US Consul General Visits GCUF’s Lincoln Corner and Business Incubation Center

Government College University Faisalabad hosted Stetson Sanders, U.S. Consul General in Lahore, along with Ms Raquel J. King-Nicudemus, Public Diplomacy Officer at the U.S. Consulate, during their visit to the university’s Lincoln Corner and Business Incubation Center.
Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Rauf-i-Azam warmly welcomed the guests and highlighted the university’s commitment to strengthening academic, entrepreneurial and cross-cultural engagement.
During his visit to the Business Incubation Center, the U.S. Consul General toured various stalls showcasing locally manufactured products and technology-driven projects developed by students and young entrepreneurs. He interacted with innovators presenting organic food items, handmade products and IT-based solutions, and appreciated their entrepreneurial spirit and dedication.
At Lincoln Corner, Mr Sanders held an interactive session with students, focusing on educational opportunities, cross-cultural exchange programmes and leadership development. He termed Lincoln Corner a pivotal platform for fostering strong educational and cultural ties between Pakistan and the United States, adding that exchange programmes, academic collaborations and resource-sharing initiatives are empowering students with skills and knowledge for a brighter future.
Prof Dr Rauf-i-Azam emphasised the transformative role of Lincoln Corner in equipping students with modern skills and resources, reaffirming GCUF’s commitment to utilising the facility for student and faculty training, expanding learning opportunities and enhancing global exposure for the youth of Faisalabad.
