Government College University Faisalabad has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Qujing Normal University, Qujing, Yunnan, China, to strengthen academic cooperation and promote international collaboration in higher education and research.

The MoU was facilitated through the Directorate of International Linkages. Dr. Azhar Rafique, Associate Professor, Department of Zoology, served as the Focal Person from GCUF. From the Chinese side, Dr. Muhammad Naeem, Associate Professor, Qujing Normal University, represented Prof. Dr. Chen Huanhuan, Qujing Normal University, during the MoU signing ceremony.

The agreement aims to enhance joint research initiatives, faculty and student exchange programs, academic collaboration, and knowledge sharing between the two universities.

Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Dr. Rauf-i-Azam, Vice Chancellor, GCUF, stated that the MoU reflects GCUF’s vision of expanding its global academic footprint and fostering sustainable international partnerships that contribute to research excellence, innovation, and capacity building.

He further emphasized that collaborations with reputable Chinese universities will open new avenues for collaborative research, academic mobility, and cross-cultural learning for faculty and students.
