GCUF Holds Training Session on Cyber Security and Responsible Digital Behaviour

The Women Development Center at Government College University Faisalabad organized a one-day training session on Cyber Security and Responsible Digital Behaviour. The session aimed to raise awareness among students and staff about the safe and responsible use of digital technologies in an era of rapid technological advancement.
The resource persons included Prof. Dr. Maryam Rehman, Chairperson, Department of Information Technology, Mr. Sufiyan Dilbar, Assistant Director, Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) and Mr. Sajid Saleem Ranjha, Assistant Director (Legal), FIA Cyber Crime Wing. They delivered insightful lectures on cyber threats, online scams, data privacy, and the ethical use of the internet, mobile phones, and other digital devices.
Addressing the participants, Prof. Dr. Zahra Batool, Incharge, Women Development Center, highlighted the importance of digital literacy and awareness for women in particular.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Dr. Rauf-I-Azam, Vice Chancellor GCUF, emphasized that responsible use of mobile phones and digital devices is key to protecting the youth from cyber exploitation and misinformation. He added that universities must play an active role in promoting ethical digital practices and fostering a culture of cyber responsibility among students.
