Centre of Data Science Hosts Seminar and Hands-On Training Session at GCUF

The Centre of Data Science at the Government College University Faisalabad organized an insightful seminar followed by a hands-on training session aimed at enhancing students’ practical learning and technical proficiency in the field of data science.
The event was convened under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Tanvir Ahmad, Director of the Centre of Data Science, while Mr. Muhammad Usman, Lecturer, served as the resource person for the interactive training session. The activity focused on bridging the gap between theoretical understanding and real-world data applications, equipping students with essential analytical and computational skills relevant to emerging industry trends.
The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Rauf-i-Azam, graced the occasion as the chief guest, accompanied by the Dean of Faculty and other senior faculty members. In his address, the Vice Chancellor appreciated the initiative taken by the Centre of Data Science and commended the faculty for promoting experiential and skill-based academic learning.
He emphasized the importance of developing competencies in data-driven technologies, highlighting their pivotal role in decision-making, innovation, and research across diverse disciplines.
