Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Rauf-i-Azam meets with heads and chairpersons of various departments at Government College University, Faisalabad

Vice Chancellor of Government College University, Faisalabad, Professor Dr. Rauf-i-Azam, held a meeting with the heads and chairpersons of various departments. During the meeting, both newly appointed and outgoing chairpersons presented detailed briefings on the academic and administrative performance of their respective departments.
Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Rauf-i-Azam congratulated the newly appointed chairpersons, stating that changes in academic leadership are essential for institutional development, the introduction of new ideas, and the improvement of administrative systems. He also paid tribute to the outgoing chairpersons for their outstanding services.
The chairpersons appreciated the Vice Chancellor’s policies regarding transparency, merit, and effective administrative practices. On the occasion, the Vice Chancellor remarked that merit-based decisions and transparent governance further strengthen the university’s reputation.
Professor Dr. Rauf-i-Azam instructed the heads and chairpersons to prioritize the resolution of student admission issues, fee-related matters, and other administrative concerns. He emphasized that teachers should focus on students’ moral development alongside academic growth and work to strengthen mutual engagement with them.
The Vice Chancellor further advised that appropriate time should be allocated in the timetable for extracurricular activities so that seminars and conferences do not disrupt the academic process.
He also shared that work is underway on faculty housing allotments and a loan scheme under the university’s merit policy. Professor Dr. Rauf-i-Azam stated that a transparent and fair system is the foundation of institutional progress — and this very standard is what defines Government College University, Faisalabad.
