Two-Day Attachment of Probationary Officers of 53rd CTP at Government College University Faisalabad

A 14-member delegation of probationary officers from the 53rd Common Training Program (CTP) of the Civil Services Academy, Government of Pakistan, is currently on a two-day institutional attachment program at Government College University Faisalabad. The visit is being held in reference to the directions of the Director General, Civil Services Academy, and aims to strengthen collaboration between academia and the civil services sector.

The purpose of the attachment is to enhance practical collaboration, build networking capabilities, and provide officers with an in-depth understanding of the challenges and opportunities faced by the higher education sector. The delegation includes officers from Pakistan Railways, Office Management Group, Inland Revenue Service, and several other government departments.

The delegation is meeting with Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Rauf-i-Azam, who is welcoming the participants and emphasizing the importance of connecting civil service training with academic and research institutions. The Vice Chancellor highlights that higher education institutions play a vital role in producing skilled human capital and generating research-based solutions for national development.

During the visit, the officers are touring various sections of the university, including the Allama Iqbal Library, Hi-Tech Laboratory, Sports Complex, and Lincoln Corner at the New Campus. They are also interacting with students and faculty members to gain firsthand insight into academic and research activities at GCUF.

Principal officers and directors of the university are delivering detailed presentations to the officers on governance structures, research initiatives, and digital transformation in higher education. Prof. Dr. Abdul Qadir Mushtaq and Prof. Dr. Ghulam Murtaza are serving as focal persons for the delegation.
