The Conference is organized by the Punjab University Institute of Zoology, in collaboration with the Applied Zoological Society of Pakistan and the Government College University, Faisalabad, at Al-Razi Hall here on Tuesday.

Punjab Minister for Primary and Secondary Healthcare Khawaja Imran Nazir were the Chief Guest. Vice Chancellor Government College University Faisalabad Prof Dr Rauf-I-Azam and Vice Chancellor University of the Punjab Prof Dr Muhammad Ali were also participated in the closing ceremony.

The speakers of the conference urged researchers to play an active role in addressing Pakistan’s public health challenges and reducing the country’s reliance on other nations for medicines and vaccines. They emphasized the importance of collaborative research across various disciplines to promote scientific progress, particularly in key areas such as food security, health sciences, and cotton research.

The event was attended by Vice Chairperson of the Applied Zoological Society of Pakistan Dr Farhat Jabeen, Director Institute of Zoology Dr Nabeela Ruhi, Organizing Secretary Dr Azhar Rasool, Registrar Dr Ahmad Islam, researchers, academicians, scientists, and a large number of students.
