International Qirat Seminar held at Government College University Faisalabad, with participation of renowned Qaris from around the world

The melodious recitation of the Holy Qur’an has a positive impact on human thought and consciousness. To spread this spiritual message, an International Qirat Seminar was organized at Government College University Faisalabad at the start of the new academic year. The event was presided over by Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Rauf-i-Azam.

Addressing the gathering, the Vice Chancellor said that the captivating sound of the Qur’an illuminates hearts and purifies minds. He added that GCUF is fulfilling the duty of spiritual and intellectual purification through such events. Dean of the Faculty of Islamic and Oriental Learning, Prof. Dr. Humayun Abbas, while speaking about the excellence of the Qur’an and the profound impact of its recitation in the Prophet’s language, said that merely imagining these moments fills the heart with divine light.

The international seminar featured soulful recitations by Qari Yasir Adam (Africa), Qari Ahmed Shamsuddin (Egypt), Qari Raja Ayub (Tanzania), along with Qari Ghulam Mustafa Naeemi and Qari Dr. Fayyaz-ul-Hassan Al-Azhari from Pakistan, enchanting the audience with their beautiful voices.

This spiritually uplifting event was organized with the joint collaboration of the Rehmat-ul-lil-Alameen Seerat Chair, Department of Arabic Language and Literature, Qiraat and Naat Society, and the Directorate of Student Affairs.
