GCUF Signs MoU with Terra Spark Group of Companies to Advance Sustainable Energy and Innovation

Government College University Faisalabad has signed a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Terra Spark Group of Companies to foster collaboration in the fields of research, innovation, and sustainable energy solutions.

The MoU was formally signed by Prof. Dr. Rauf-i-Azam, Vice Chancellor, Government College University Faisalabad, and Dr. Sarfraz Ahmad, CEO, Terra Spark Group of Companies, in a ceremony held at GCUF.

This agreement establishes a strategic partnership framework between the two institutions, paving the way for joint initiatives in research and development, capacity building, technology transfer, and implementation of innovative waste to energy projects.

This collaboration aims to support Pakistan’s national energy needs while contributing to international commitments, particularly United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 7 (Affordable and Clean Energy) and climate action initiatives.

Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Dr. Rauf-i-Azam highlighted that this partnership reflects GCUF’s strong commitment to building academia industry linkages for a knowledge driven, sustainable society.
He added that the initiative would not only open new avenues of research but also equip students and faculty with practical skills to tackle Pakistan’s energy and environmental challenges.

Dr. Sarfraz emphasized the importance of engaging academia with industry for real-world solutions and praised GCUF’s proactive role in driving sustainable innovation.
