Applications are invited from qualified, competent and motivated Pakistani Nationals for hiring of following Faculty in Government College University, Faisalabad on Contract Basis in the field of Architecture:

1- Professor of Practice (Number of seats = 01)
(For a period of one year extendable for further two years subject to satisfactory performance)

2- Associate Professor of Practice (Number of seats = 02)
(For a period of one year extendable for further two years subject to satisfactory performance)

3- Assistant Professor of Practice (Number of seats = 03)
(For a period of one year extendable for further two years subject to satisfactory performance)

Eligibility Criteria

The Candidates are expected to meet the minimum eligibility requirements/criteria /Policy guidelines as set forth by the Higher Education Commission, Islamabad and Pakistan Council of Architects and Town Planners (PCAPT) as available at https://www.hec.gov.pk/english/policies/Pages/Guidelines-APP.aspx  

Compensation/Salary Package

• The Salary package for the appointments of Assistant Professor of Practice, Associate Professor of Practice and Professor of Practice shall be the same as that of the tenure track appointment of the same rank.
• Alternatively, a competitive remuneration package, aligned with industry /sector standards mutually agreed between the University and the selected expert.

in favour of Treasurer, Government College University, Faisalabad. Duly filled in application form must be supported with attested copies of educational testimonials / certificates, I.D. Card, three recent photographs and updated Curriculum Vitae (CV).

The candidates from abroad may submit their applications on prescribed Application & Bio-data Form, available on the University website, accompanied by Bank Draft of US $ 50/- on the name of Treasurer Government College University, Faisalabad and attested copies of all necessary testimonials, ID card, recent photograph, updated CV on the given address. 

The Candidates HEC Equivalence Certificate(s), where applicable, otherwise their application would not be entertained / considered.

The condition of age can be relaxed as per policy of the University.

Incomplete or the applications received after due date will not be entertained.

The candidates for the positions of Professor and Associate Professor are required to submit Five (05) sets of applications and Assistant Professor are required to submit Three (03) sets on the prescribed Form along with attested copies of degree, result cards, transcripts, certificates along with research publications.

Candidates for the positions of Professor and Associate Professor are also required to submit soft copy of their complete applications / dossiers in the PDF form in USB along with their paper copies.

The candidates applying for more than one post shall submit separate Job Application Form with necessary documents, complete in all respects.

The University reserves the right not fill/withdraw any post /withhold any appointment against any advertised post without assigning any reason.

The candidate already in Service must apply through proper channel by the due date (Proforma of Departmental Permission Certificate is attached with the job application form)

Note

• Three percent (03 %) quota will be reserved for persons with disabilities as per direction of Government of the Punjab. If the candidate is disabled, he/she will have to submit a certificate from the Provincial Council for Rehabilitation of Disabled Persons of Social Welfare Department. However, the persons with disabilities are exempted from the condition of demand draft.
• Five percent (5%) quota is reserved for the minorities.
• The Professor of Practice appointments are not be converted to tenure-track positions and they are also not eligible for academic administrative appointments at and above the department chair level.
• Only short listed candidates will be called for interview and short listing of the candidates shall be made in accordance with the University policy procedure by the Scrutiny Committee.
• The University is not responsible if call letters are delayed or not received due to any lapse of Courier Agency/Post Office/Telephonic message.
• No TA/DA would be admissible when called for interview.
