Prof. Dr. Abdul Rauf Bhatti has taken up the charge of Faculty of Engineering and Technology as a Dean on 18-07-24. Dr. Bhatti received the B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in electrical engineering from University of Engineering and Technology (UET), Lahore, Pakistan, in 2004 and 2008, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree (with distinction) in electrical engineering from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), Johor Bahru, Malaysia in 2017. He is currently working with Government College University Faisalabad (GCUF), Faisalabad, Pakistan as Professor of the Department of Electrical Engineering and Technology. He worked as Director ORIC (Office of Research, Innovation and Commercialization), Project Director (GCUF Main and Sub-Campuses) and Chief Security Officer (New Campus of GCUF). He started BS, MS and Ph.D. electrical engineering programs and established various engineering labs in GCUF. He is with GCUF since 2006 and served as Lecturer, Assistant Professor, Associate Professor and Professor. Before that he was with Government College of Technology (GCT), Faisalabad, Pakistan, and Shakarganj Mills Ltd. (SML), Jhang, Pakistan in 2006 and 2005 respectively. He also served UET Lahore (Faisalabad Campus) as visiting Lecturer from 2006 to 2007. Dr. Bhatti is a lifetime member (as Professional Engineer) of Pakistan Engineering Council and IEEEP. He is also member of National Curriculum Revision Committee (NCRC). He has been appointed as Program Evaluator by Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) as well as National Technology Council (NTC), Pakistan. He received Awards of Best Teacher (GCUF), Outstanding Researcher (GCUF), Most downloaded Paper in Wiley for 2018-2019 and Best Paper in IEEE 6th International Conference on Power and Energy, Malaysia. He is consultant of Renewable Energy Expert Company. He secured numerous project grants from various funding agencies like HEC, Ignite, PEC and British Council. He is the reviewer of various national and international research journals in the field of electrical engineering. He has 70+ research articles (including local and foreign journals, conference proceedings and Book Chapter) on his credit with cumulative impact factor as 156.283 with h-index 21, i10-index 32 and number of citations more than 2100 on date of joining as Dean of faculty. His research interests are in electrical energy management, electric vehicle charging, solar photovoltaic, energy forecasting, artificial intelligence, deterministic algorithms, and renewable energy. With Prof. Dr. Abdul Rauf Bhatti as a Dean of the faculty of Engineering and Technology, the faculty as well as students of this faculty are expected to be benefitted immensely from the conducive and enabling environment.

The Faculty of Engineering and Technology is contributing to the Faisalabad community through Engineering and Technology programs accredited by Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) and National Technology Council (NTC), IEEE Industrial Application Society & other chapters and ICT services for holding exams of ECAT and other University’s entry tests.
