GCUF Strengthens Global Research Collaboration through MoUs with Brazilian Institutions

Government College University Faisalabad (GCUF) has signed two Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with leading Brazilian research institutions to strengthen international academic and research collaboration.

The first MoU was signed with the Health Multidisciplinary Laboratory, Universidade de Cuiabá (UNIC), Brazil, while the second was signed between the Department of Chemistry, School of Sciences, São Paulo State University (DQ-FC-UNESP), Bauru-SP, Brazil, and the Laboratory of Natural Products and Organic Synthesis (LNPOS), Department of Applied Chemistry, GCUF.

The MoUs were signed by Prof. Dr. Rauf-i-Azam, Vice Chancellor GCUF, in the presence of Dr. Muhammad Ibrahim (Focal Person, GCUF), Prof. Dr. Muhammad Riaz (Director, International Linkage), Prof. Dr. Kaleem Khosa (Dean, Faculty of Science), Prof. Dr. Shumaila Kiran (Chairperson, Department of Applied Chemistry), and Prof. Dr. Fazal ur Rehman.

The agreements will promote joint research on drug discovery, natural products and synthetic organic compounds, faculty and student exchange, co-supervision of research scholars, joint publications, research training, seminars, conferences, and scientific knowledge sharing.

Speaking on the occasion, the Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Rauf-I-Azam emphasized that international partnerships are vital for enhancing research capacity and creating opportunities for GCUF faculty and students to engage with the global scientific community.
