GCUF Vice Chancellor Emphasizes Industry-Oriented Education and Skills Development

The Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry (FCCI) hosted a round table conference on “Industry–Academia Collaboration & Bridging the Gap Between Academia, Industry & the Job Market,” bringing together Vice Chancellor of universities in the region and representatives of the business community.
Vice Chancellor Government College University Faisalabad Prof. Dr. Rauf-i-Azam participated in the conference and highlighted the need for stronger linkages between universities and industry to prepare graduates according to the requirements of the job market.
FCCI President Farooq Yousaf Sheikh, Senior Vice President Naveed Akram Sheikh and Vice President Engr. Asim Munir also attended the conference.
Speaking on the occasion, Prof. Dr. Rauf-i-Azam said that universities and industry must work together to bridge the skills gap and provide students with practical exposure alongside academic knowledge. He stressed the importance of internships, industry-oriented training, joint research and innovation to enhance graduates’ employability.
