Training on Outcome-Based Education (OBE) Held at GCUF

A comprehensive training session on Outcome-Based Education (OBE) was organized at Government College University Faisalabad with the aim of enhancing faculty members’ understanding and effective implementation of OBE principles in computing disciplines explicitly.

The training session was conducted by Prof. Dr. Ali Hammad Akbar, University of Engineering and Technology (UET), Lahore, who provided valuable insights into OBE concepts, assessment methodologies, curriculum alignment, and the effective attainment and assessment of learning outcomes.

The training was organized by Prof. Dr. Mariam Rehman, NCEAC Focal Person, GCUF, as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen academic quality, accreditation preparedness, and the effective implementation of outcome-based education across academic programs.

During the session, Prof. Dr. Ali Hammad Akbar engaged the participants through practical examples and discussions, highlighting the importance of aligning Program Objectives (POs), Graduate Attributes (GAs), Course Learning Outcomes (CLOs), teaching strategies, and assessment methods to ensure continuous improvement in academic programs.

The participants appreciated the informative and interactive nature of the training and expressed their commitment to incorporating the principles of OBE into their teaching and assessment practices. The training reflects GCUF’s continued commitment to academic excellence, quality assurance, faculty capacity building, and compliance with accreditation standards.
