GCUF Vice Chancellor Briefs Governor Punjab on Academic Progress and Global Partnerships

Vice Chancellor Government College University Faisalabad, Prof. Dr. Rauf-i-Azam, called on Sardar Saleem Haider Khan Governor/Chancellor Punjab at the Governor’s House and briefed him on the university’s academic progress, research achievements and development initiatives.
During the meeting, the Vice Chancellor highlighted reforms focused on merit, transparency and accountability, stating that the university had made notable progress in research, innovation and global rankings. He said curricula of degree programmes had been updated in line with contemporary academic and industry needs to improve educational quality.
Prof Dr Rauf-i-Azam also briefed the Governor on initiatives promoting innovation and entrepreneurship through the university’s incubation centre and industry linkages, aimed at supporting student-led ventures and strengthening academia-industry collaboration. He further shared details of expanding academic partnerships with institutions in China, Turkey and member states of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation.
Governor Punjab Sardar Saleem Haider Khan appreciated the university’s efforts to improve educational standards and international collaborations. He emphasized the importance of quality education and research in enhancing Pakistan’s global academic standing and assured full support for initiatives contributing to regional and national development.
