GCUF Hosts Third International Conference on Material Physics and Allied Technologies

Government College University Faisalabad inaugurated the Third International Conference on Material Physics and Allied Technologies (MPA-Tech 2026) along with a hands-on training workshop at the university campus.
The opening session of the workshop was inaugurated by Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Rauf-i-Azam. Pro Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Nasir Amin and Incharge Dean Faculty of Physical Sciences Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kaleem Khan Khosa were also present on the occasion. Former Dean of Sciences, Government College University Lahore, Prof. Dr. Riaz Ahmad attended the conference as chief guest.
Addressing the participants, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Rauf-i-Azam said that material physics and modern technologies have gained vital importance in industrial development, energy, electronics, nanotechnology, medical sciences, and several other sectors. He stated that such international conferences promote research, innovation, and academic collaboration while providing researchers with an effective platform for the exchange of modern ideas and scientific experiences.
Earlier, Chairman Department of Physics and Chief Organizer Dr. Ejaz Ahmad Khan briefed the participants about the objectives and themes of the conference and highlighted the university’s efforts to promote research culture under the education and research-oriented policies of the Vice Chancellor.
The conference featured research presentations by 12 international researchers and scientists along with around 20 Pakistani scientists. International speakers from Singapore, Italy, Saudi Arabia, China, Portugal, Malaysia, the United States, Norway, Canada, and Brazil presented their research papers, while prominent national scientists from Lahore, Multan, Faisalabad, and other cities also shared their academic contributions
Students from various universities and colleges participated enthusiastically in the conference and interacted with national and international scientists on emerging scientific and research trends.
