Government College University Faisalabad (GCUF) has further strengthened its international academic engagement through important collaborations with UCSI University during a visit by a GCUF delegation led by Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Rauf-i-Azam.

At UCSI University, the delegation held substantive discussions with President and Vice-Chancellor Prof. Emeritus Datuk Dr. Siti Hamisah Tapsir, the Global Engagement Office, and senior university representatives. The discussions focused on student exchange, scholarships, faculty mobility, joint research, academic and professional trainings, and other areas of mutual interest. UCSI leadership welcomed the initiative, and the discussions also initiated a Letter of Intent (LOI) process toward establishing a working MoU between the two institutions.

The engagement with UCSI University was initiated by Dr. Muhammad Tahir ul Qamar, Deputy Director, Directorate of International Linkages, GCUF, who facilitated discussions aimed at expanding international opportunities for GCUF students, faculty, and researchers.

Speaking on the occasion, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Rauf-i-Azam reaffirmed GCUF’s commitment to developing sustainable international partnerships that create meaningful opportunities for students, faculty, and researchers through academic excellence, research collaboration, knowledge exchange, and global exposure.

The delegation from GCUF comprised Prof. Dr. Rauf-i-Azam, Vice Chancellor; Prof. Dr. Farhat Jabeen, Dean, Faculty of Life Sciences; Prof. Dr. Muhammad Hidayat Rasool, Director, Institute of Microbiology; Dr. Muhammad Tahir ul Qamar, Deputy Director, Directorate of International Linkages; Dr. Muhammad Umer Sarwar, Manager IT Services; Mr. Moeen Qureshi, Manager Operations; and Dr. Zia Ashraf, Assistant Professor, Faculty of Medical Sciences.
