Government College University Faisalabad (GCUF) and the Federal University of São Carlos (UFSCar), Brazil, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to promote academic collaboration, scientific research, innovation and knowledge exchange between the two institutions.

The MoU was signed by GCUF Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Rauf-i-Azam and Dr. Akbar Ali Department of Chemistry, while UFSCar Rector Prof. Dr. Ana Beatriz de Oliveira and Prof. Dr. Marcio Weber Paixão of the Department of Chemistry signed on behalf of the Brazilian university.

Director International Linkages, Prof. Dr. Riaz Hussain, facilitated the MoU signing ceremony.Under the agreement, the two universities will collaborate on joint research projects in science and technology, faculty and student exchange programmes, co-supervision of research scholars, joint publications, research training, seminars and conferences, and the sharing of scientific expertise and resources.

The agreement marks another significant step towards strengthening GCUF’s international academic partnerships and global research engagement.
