The 82nd meeting of Advanced Studies and Research Board (AS&RB) of Government College University Faisalabad was held under the chairmanship of Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Rauf-i-Azam.

Director, Directorate of Advanced Studies, Prof. Dr. Matloob Ahmad, presented the agenda items before the board. The meeting deliberated in detail on research theses of PhD scholars, reports of external examiners, approval of PhD theses, admission and enrolment-related matters, early submission of theses and other important academic and research issues. After reviewing various cases, the board took decisions in accordance with the relevant rules, regulations and recommendations.

Speaking on the occasion, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Rauf-i-Azam said GCUF was taking all necessary measures to promote high-quality research and further strengthen the research environment for PhD scholars. He urged faculty members and researchers to focus on quality and impactful research and contribute towards strengthening the university’s academic and research profile at national and international levels.

The Vice Chancellor also welcomed two new members of the board, Prof. Dr. Ali Usman Saleem dep of English and Prof. Dr. Rabia Khawar dep of Psychology, and expressed the hope that their academic and research expertise would contribute significantly to making the board’s proceedings more effective and productive. The meeting was attended by members of the board, deans, representatives of various academic departments and relevant university officials.
