GCUF Team Visits Pak-Austria Fachhochschule Haripur KPK and QAU Islamabad to Finalise Arrangements for 6th International Students Convention & Expo 2026

A delegation from Government College University Faisalabad visited Pak-Austria Fachhochschule Institute of Applied Sciences and Technology (PAF-IAST), Haripur, and Quaid-i-Azam University Islamabad to finalize arrangements for the 6th International Students Convention & Expo 2026 scheduled to be held from May 2 to May 6 in Islamabad and Haripur.

The delegation was led by Deputy Director Students Affairs Dr Abdul Rehman and included Dr Muhammad Waqas, Dr Uzma Jamil, Dr Sana Haroon, Ms Asma Sajid, Mr Rizwan Ahmad (PRO), distinguished alumna Ms Shiza Dilbar Hussain and student representatives. The convention aims to bring together students, innovators, researchers and young leaders from national and international institutions to participate in academic competitions, workshops, networking sessions and innovation showcases.

According to the event schedule, students’ competitions and workshops will be held at Quaid-i-Azam University Islamabad on May 3, while the opening ceremony of the convention will take place at Riphah International University Islamabad. Activities on May 4 will be hosted by Pak-Austria Fachhochschule Institute, Haripur. Expo activities and exhibition stalls will also be featured at National Skills University Islamabad. The Directorate of Students Affairs, ARK Media Club, Public Relations Office, Registration Team, Directorate of International Linkages, Office of Research, Innovation and Commercialisation (ORIC), and Business Incubation Centre (BIC) will actively contribute throughout the five-day convention to ensure effective representation of the university at the international platform.

Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Rauf-i-Azam said participation in such international conventions provided students with valuable exposure, encouraged innovation and strengthened academic collaboration among institutions. He added that GCUF remained committed to promoting leadership, research and global engagement opportunities for students.
