Christmas Celebrations Held with Dignity at Government College University Faisalabad; Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Rouf-i-Azam Emphasizes Promotion of Interfaith Harmony and Tolerance

Dignified Christmas celebrations were held at both campuses of Government College University Faisalabad, with Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Rouf-i-Azam attending as the chief guest. During the events, a Christmas cake was cut and a message of mutual love, tolerance, and harmony was shared.

While addressing the gathering, Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Rouf-i-Azam extended heartfelt Christmas greetings and best wishes to the Christian community. He said that the Christian community has played a significant role in the progress and prosperity of the university, which cannot be overlooked. He further stated that the birth of Hazrat Isa (Jesus Christ), peace be upon him, is a source of joy for all humanity, and that not only Christians but Muslims also equally share in this happiness.

The Vice Chancellor emphasized that Government College University Faisalabad firmly believes in promoting interfaith harmony, tolerance, and mutual respect, where all employees and students are provided equal dignity and opportunities.

Chairman State Care Professor Dr. Naeem Iqbal, Dr. Nadeem Sabir, and Chief Security Officer Professor Dr. Asghar Jamal were also present alongside the Vice Chancellor. Employees from the university’s Christian community actively participated in the celebrations and appreciated the administration’s initiative.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, prayers were offered for peace, brotherhood, and progress in the country, and the joys of Christmas were celebrated in a spirit of mutual respect and unity.
