National Conference on Linguistics and Literature in the Digital Age Held at UoS

The Department of English Language and Linguistics, University of Sargodha hosted a National Conference titled โWordscapes in the Digital Age: Linguistics, Literature and Society.โ
Vice Chancellor Government College University Faisalabad, ๐๐ซ๐จ๐. ๐๐ซ. ๐๐๐ฎ๐-๐ข-๐๐ณ๐๐ฆ graced the occasion as Chief Guest while Vice Chancellor UoS ๐๐ซ๐จ๐. ๐๐ซ. ๐๐๐ข๐ฌ๐๐ซ ๐๐๐๐๐ฌ and Pro Vice Chancellor UoS Prof. Dr. Masood Sarwar Awan were guests of honour.
Prof. Dr. Rauf-i-Azam emphasized the vital role of language in personal and national development, noting the challenges of navigating multiple languages, especially English in academic and professional contexts. He stressed that embracing technology and adapting to global changes are essential for market expansion and driving meaningful national progress.
Prof. Dr. Qaisar Abbas highlighted internationalization as a key goal of the University of Sargodha, emphasizing that strong language skills reduce communication barriers and enhance global academic and professional collaboration.
Prof. Dr. Ijaz Asghar Bhatti noted that the conference facilitated focused discussions on contemporary linguistic practices, emerging digital literature trends, and the societal impact of modern communication technologies. Participants explored how digital platforms are reshaping language, literature, and their broader social implications.
