Joint mock exercise by Police, Rescue, and Civil Defense held at GC University Faisalabad to deal with emergency situations

A comprehensive and well-coordinated joint mock exercise was conducted at Government College University Faisalabad in collaboration with the university’s security staff, Police Station Gulberg, Rescue 1122, Civil Defense, and other law enforcement agencies to deal with emergency situations. The purpose of the exercise was to assess the capacity for timely, coordinated, and effective response in the event of potential terrorism, the presence of suspicious individuals, and other emergency situations.
According to the simulated emergency call, information was received regarding the presence of suspicious individuals within the university premises. In response, Faisalabad Police, Elite Force, Special Branch, Security Branch, CTD, Bomb Disposal Squad, Rescue 1122, Civil Defense, and other relevant departments took immediate action and demonstrated a practical response operation.
Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Rauf-i-Azam appreciated the cooperation of the law enforcement agencies and stated that such exercises not only enhance institutional preparedness but also play a vital role in maintaining a peaceful and secure environment on campus. He added that such training activities will continue in the future to ensure a timely and effective response to any emergency situation.
According to the spokesperson of Government College University Faisalabad, the primary objective of the exercise was to enable the university’s security teams and concerned agencies to respond promptly and effectively to any unforeseen or emergency situation and to thwart any terrorist activity.
