At Government College University Faisalabad, a ceremony was held to mark the Foundation Day, and a cake was cut in the Vice Chancellor’s Office

The Foundation Day was celebrated with traditional enthusiasm at Government College University Faisalabad. On this occasion, a cake-cutting ceremony was held in the Vice Chancellor’s Office, and special prayers were offered for the institution’s progress, prosperity, and continued success in its academic journey.

The ceremony was attended by Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Rauf-i-Azam, faculty members, deans, directors, and the university’s distinguished alumni. While cutting the cake along with the participants, the Vice Chancellor congratulated everyone on Foundation Day and paid tribute to this historic journey.

The institution was established in 1897 as a primary school and today stands as an internationally recognized university with a distinguished position in education and research. Every year on December 8, this day is celebrated as a renewal of commitment.

In his address, Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Rauf-i-Azam said that GCU Faisalabad is ranked second in Pakistan and first in Punjab, which reflects its achievements at national and international levels. He also reviewed the progress made regarding strengthening the alumni network and the establishment of the Alumni Endowment Fund.

The Vice Chancellor added that the university’s alumni have brought honor to the institution through their remarkable contributions in various fields. A special ceremony will be organized to acknowledge their services.

Addressing the ceremony, alumni representatives said that GCU University is our home, where we spent memorable moments of our student life. Under the leadership of Vice Chancellor  Prof Dr Rauf-i-Azam, the university is moving forward on the path of development, which is a source of great satisfaction for us.

The participants expressed their resolve that GC University Faisalabad is an institution with a glorious past, a strong present, and a bright future. Its graduates are serving at national and international levels and continue to elevate the university’s stature even further.
