GCUF Secures Top Positions in World Rankings, Celebrates Academic Excellence

Government College University Faisalabad has proudly celebrated its significant rise in global academic rankings. Despite being only 23 years old, GCUF has earned recognition from leading international agencies, marking its place among top universities worldwide.

To honor these achievements especially GCUF’s inaugural inclusion in the QS World University Rankings 2025.

Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Rauf-i-Azam hosted a special ceremony for the university’s high achievers and faculty members. The event was attended by Syndicate members, Vice Chancellors of regional universities, and representatives of the Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FCCI).

GCUF maintained its position in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2025 within the 601–800 band, securing its place as the 2nd highest-ranked university in Pakistan. The university also celebrated its first-ever entry into the QS World University Rankings, placing in the 761–770 band globally and 7th in Pakistan. In addition, 54 Researchers of Government College University Faisalabad Ranked among World’s Top 2% scientists.

GCUF continued its strong presence in other global evaluations such as the QS Asian University Rankings, CWUR, and U.S. News Best Global Universities Rankings.

Addressing the gathering, Prof. Dr. Rauf-i-Azam congratulated the GCUF community and emphasized that the university’s growing global standing reflects excellence in research, innovation, and ethical scholarship. He encouraged faculty to align their work with national priorities to help drive sustainable development.

The Vice Chancellor also presented honorary shields to high achievers in research, innovation, and administrative excellence.
