GCUF and Kahramanmaraş Sütçü İmam University, Türkiye, Sign MoU to Strengthen International Academic Cooperation

Government College University Faisalabad has signed a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Kahramanmaraş Sütçü İmam University (KSU), Türkiye, marking a major step forward in expanding international academic partnerships and fostering global educational collaboration.

A distinguished delegation from KSU, including Dr. Emre Babur and Dr. Ömer Suha Uslu, visited GCUF for the formal signing ceremony and collaborative discussions. The MoU was officially signed by Prof. Dr. Rauf-i-Azam, Vice Chancellor of GCUF, with coordination and facilitation from the Directorate of International Linkages, led by Prof. Dr. Muhammad Riaz.

This partnership has been established under the prestigious Erasmus+ KA171 Program, enabling diverse academic mobility opportunities for students, faculty, and staff between the two universities.

Under the terms of the MoU, the collaboration includes mobility programs such as Student Study, Student Traineeship, Staff Teaching Mobility, and Staff Training Mobility. Importantly, the grants for both outgoing and incoming mobilities will be funded by Kahramanmaraş Sütçü İmam University (KSU), reflecting the strong mutual commitment to promoting international academic excellence and collaboration.

Speaking at the occasion, Prof. Dr. Rauf-i-Azam, Vice Chancellor, GCUF, expressed his gratitude to the Turkish delegates and emphasized that this partnership would open new avenues of international learning, research collaboration, and capacity building for GCUF students and faculty members.

Prof. Dr. Muhammad Riaz, Director International Linkages, lauded the initiative and said that the partnership will further strengthen GCUF’s global network, particularly in the European region, by expanding international academic mobility and research collaboration.
