75th meeting of the Advanced Studies and Research Board held at Government College University Faisalabad

Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Rauf-i-Azam Emphasizes Solving National Issues Through Research

The 75th meeting of the Advanced Studies and Research Board of Government College University Faisalabad was held at Iqbal Hall, Old Campus, under the chairmanship of Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Rauf-i-Azam.

At the beginning of the meeting, the participants of Advanced Studies warmly congratulated Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Rauf-i-Azam on the successful completion of his first year in office and appreciated his leadership and vision for the university’s progress.

All members of the Advanced Studies and Research Board, including the Vice Chancellor, Pro Vice Chancellor, Deans, and relevant faculty members, attended the meeting.

Director Advanced Studies, Prof. Dr. Matloob Ahmad, gave a detailed briefing on the agenda and key points of the meeting, while Registrar Ghulam Ghaus performed administrative responsibilities as the meeting secretary.

During the meeting, evaluation reports of PhD theses of various students were presented, which were approved after extensive discussion. Moreover, several measures were taken to resolve longstanding issues of MPhil and PhD students and ensure the timely completion of their degrees.

On this occasion, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Rauf-i-Azam said that meetings of the Advanced Studies and Research Board are being held regularly every month to maintain continuity in academic and research activities and to address students’ issues on a priority basis. He emphasized that promoting serious and result-oriented research efforts is the need of the hour so that effective solutions to national problems can be achieved through research.

The Vice Chancellor further stated that the university is paying special attention to providing quality education and excellent training to students so that graduates can play a positive role in the development of the national economy.

He urged the faculty members to align their research with the demands of the modern era and to train students in the best possible manner so they can attain a distinguished position in the fields of knowledge and practice.
