Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Rauf-i-Azam warmly welcomes the esteemed Old Alumni

In the heart of Faisalabad stands Government College Faisalabad — an institution that, for generations, has spread the light of knowledge, culture, and character. Even today, it remains filled with the same love, warmth, and pride for its former students. Over time, this great college has evolved into a prestigious university, yet its walls still remember the footsteps of those young dreamers who once began their journeys through its corridors.
It has been 23 years since Government College became a university, but its affection for its alumni remains as fresh as ever. In every corner of the world, graduates of this alma mater continue to prove their excellence and capabilities. Yet, whenever they hear the name of their college, a sparkle appears in their eyes, and a gentle calm settles in their hearts.
Even today, when old alumni visit the university, smiles and tears often appear together on their faces. They embrace the buildings, the trees, and the memories as if returning home after many years.
Such a touching scene was witnessed when three old alumni of the college visited the Vice Chancellor’s Office — once known as the Principal’s Office — and met with Professor Prof. Dr. Rauf-i-Azam. Their emotions, affectionate words, and the fragrance of old memories filled the atmosphere with deep sentiment. The office was the same, the walls were the same — only time had changed, not the feeling.
Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Rauf-i-Azam warmly welcomed them, saying, “The university is proud of its alumni. Wherever you are, you represent the identity of your alma mater. This university will always be your home. Its doors are forever open to you, and our hearts always beat for you.”
The alumni, too, enthusiastically recalled their student days, spoke fondly of their teachers, and tried to capture the essence of those cherished times in words.
Government College University Faisalabad is not merely an institution — it is a feeling, a family, a story of love that grows deeper with every passing year.
