GCUF Hosts Seminar on Inquiry, Investigation, and Trial

The College of Law, Government College University Faisalabad, organized a one-day seminar on “Inquiry, Investigation, and Trial” at Ahmad Faiz Hall, Yousaf Block, Old Campus, on Tuesday. The event aimed to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical understanding of Pakistan’s criminal justice system.

Chief Guest Shahzada Bilal Omer, City Police Officer (CPO) Faisalabad, and Senior Advocate of the High Court, Mr. Munier Ahmad Khan, graced the occasion and shared their professional experiences with students and faculty members.

Addressing the seminar, CPO Shahzada Bilal Omer provided valuable insights into the legal framework and practical procedures of inquiry, investigation, and trial. He discussed the essential role of law enforcement agencies in ensuring justice and maintaining transparency during criminal proceedings.

Senior Advocate Mr. Munier Ahmad Khan highlighted the importance of ethical responsibility and procedural accuracy in legal practice. He encouraged students to gain a deep understanding of the principles of justice and the functioning of courts, noting that practical exposure is crucial for shaping competent legal professionals.

Vice Chancellor GCUF, Prof. Dr. Rauf-i-Azam, lauded the College of Law for organizing a knowledgeable and impactful event for law students. He stated that learning about the court system, police procedures, and the justice mechanism is an essential component of modern legal education.

The event was attended by Chairperson college of Law Dr Ghulam Murtaza along with faculty members, practicing lawyers, law enforcement officials, and a large number of students.

The Vice Chancellor also announced that in the near future, Government College University Faisalabad and the District Police Faisalabad will sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance mutual cooperation in various academic and training fields. The collaboration will aim to facilitate research, training workshops, and joint initiatives to strengthen institutional linkages between academia and law enforcement.
