French Delegation Visits Government College University Faisalabad to Explore Academic Collaboration

Government College University Faisalabad had the honor of welcoming Mr. Marc Piton, Counsellor for Cooperation and Cultural Action at the French Embassy in Pakistan, Mr. Fabrice Disdier, Director of Alliance Française de Lahore (AFL), and Ms. Eisha Nasir, Manager of AFL Faisalabad Branch.

During their visit, the distinguished guests were warmly received by Prof. Dr. Nasir Amin, Pro-Vice Chancellor, along with Dr. Muhammad Kamran Khan, Coordinator Pak–France Network, Prof. Dr. Tanvir Shahzad, Director ORIC, Dr. Sabir Hussain, Chairman Department of Environmental Sciences, Dr. Nazir Ahmad, Chairman Department of Nutritional Sciences, and Dr. Tahir ul Qamar, Deputy Director International lineages.

The French delegation also visited the Department of Biotechnology, where they interacted with faculty members and students, sharing insights on research and learning opportunities in France.

The meeting and interactions focused on exploring avenues of mutual collaboration between GCUF and the French Embassy, including academic exchange, joint research projects, and French language promotion initiatives.

This visit marks another significant step toward strengthening academic and cultural ties between Pakistan and France.
