Grand Asian University Sialkot (GAUS) hosted the 3rd National Workshop on UI GreenMetric World University Rankings 2025, attended by Vice Chancellors of public and private universities, QEC directors, international dignitaries, and the Governor of Punjab as Chief Guest.

Prof Dr Rauf-i-Azam, Vice Chancellor of Government College University Faisalabad, participated as the Guest of Honour. He was accompanied by Prof Dr Asim Mansha, Director QEC, and Ms Tahira Rasheed, Coordinator QEC, who were also part of the GCUF delegation.

In a panel discussion, Prof Dr Rauf-I-Azam stressed that higher education institutions must adopt eco-friendly policies and embed sustainability in teaching, research, and campus operations. He warned that climate change is an urgent reality for Pakistan, citing recent floods as one of the worst examples.

Speakers highlighted universities’ responsibility in driving sustainable initiatives and raising youth awareness, underscoring the need to secure a greener future for coming generations.
