The person stepping into the river wearing a life jacket is no ordinary individual, but rather the Vice Chancellor of Government College University Faisalabad, Professor Dr. Rauf Azam

Today, when the waters of the Ravi, Sutlej, and Chenab have wreaked havoc, villages have been destroyed, and people have been left helpless, the GCUF campus in District Chiniot stands as a beacon of hope among the flood victims.
This relief convoy is being personally led by Vice Chancellor Dr. Rauf Azam. Accompanying him are expert doctors, paramedical staff, volunteers, and faculty members who neither tire nor stop; rather, they risk their own lives to deliver food, clean drinking water, medicines, and every possible facility to those affected by the floods.
Through his actions, Dr. Rauf Azam has proven that true leadership is not shown merely through words but by stepping into the field.
He conveyed the message that natural disasters are not faced by institutions alone but by united nations. Educational institutions, along with their students, must come forward for the relief and rehabilitation of flood victims.
Government College University Faisalabad has pledged today that it will not abandon its nation. Whether it be the raging waves of rivers or the remote areas of the floodplains, GCUF will not only provide medical and financial assistance but will also personally reach those farmers and laborers whose dreams have been washed away to tell them that in this difficult time, you are not alone. We, your brothers, stand shoulder to shoulder with you.
This scene is a message that in times of hardship, a true leader is the one who stands with his people, shares their pain, and rekindles hope in their hearts through his courage.
