A dignified ceremony was organized at the New Campus of Government College University Faisalabad in commemoration of the 1500th Rabi-ul-Awwal

On this occasion, a heartfelt tribute was presented in the revered court of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him). The ceremony commenced with the recitation of the Holy Qur’an, followed by Na’at recitations in which praises were beautifully offered in honor of the Prophet (PBUH). Renowned Islamic scholars and speakers shed light on various aspects of the blessed life of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), and urged the students to adopt his exemplary character (Uswa-e-Hasanah) in their practical lives.
Professor Dr. Nasir Amin, Pro Vice-Chancellor of Government College University Faisalabad, in his address, stated that the life of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) provides complete guidance for all of humanity. Every aspect of his life conveys messages of peace, justice, love, and service to humanity. He emphasized that if today’s youth shape their lives according to the Seerah of the Prophet (PBUH), it could bring about a moral and spiritual revolution in society.
Professor Dr. Muhammad Humayun Abbas Shams, Incharge of the Rehmat-ul-lil-Alameen Seerat Chair, while addressing the gathering, said that the elevation of the Prophet’s mention (Rif‘at-e-Zikr) has three dimensions: intellectual, practical, and emotional. Intellectual refers to knowledge and literature; practical refers to acting upon the teachings of the Prophet (PBUH); and emotional refers to a deep, loving relationship with him. He emphasized that the Muslim Ummah today needs to integrate all three dimensions to truly follow the Prophet (PBUH).
The ceremony was attended enthusiastically by university faculty, students, organizers, and other distinguished guests.
In the end, special thanks were extended to the organizers and all participants.
This ceremony was organized in collaboration with the Directorate of Student Affairs and the Seerat Chair, Rehmat-ul-lil-Alameen of Government College University Faisalabad.
