GCUF Represents Pakistan at 8th International Conference on Materials Science and Nanotechnology in Turkey

Government College University Faisalabad proudly represented Pakistan at the 8th International Conference on Materials Science and Nanotechnology: Bridging Sustainable Agriculture and Renewable Energy Technologies – 2025, held at Istanbul Technical University, Turkey.

The three-day international event was jointly organized by Government College University Faisalabad (Pakistan), Istanbul Technical University (Türkiye), and London South Bank University (United Kingdom), bringing together researchers, scientists, and academicians from across the globe to explore innovative solutions in materials science, nanotechnology, sustainable agriculture, and renewable energy.

The conference was formally inaugurated by Prof. Dr. Rauf-I-Azam, Vice Chancellor, GCUF, who attended as Chief Guest. In his inaugural address, Prof. Dr. Rauf-I-Azam highlighted the crucial role of materials science and nanotechnology in addressing pressing global challenges such as food security, climate change, and energy sustainability.
He emphasized the importance of fostering strong academic collaborations and conducting cutting-edge research to build innovative technologies that contribute to a more sustainable future.

He further noted that the Department of Physics at GCUF has been successfully organizing this international conference series for the past eight years, serving as a platform for scientific exchange, networking, and research collaboration. Dr Rauf-I-Azam attended the poster session on the first day, where he interacted with young researchers and appreciated their work.

Among the distinguished guests was Prof. Dr. Saeed Ahmad Bazdar, Vice Chancellor of Thal University Bhakkar, Pakistan, who joined the event as a Special Guest.

The GCUF delegation included Prof. Dr. Adnan Ali and Dr. Khalid Mehmood from the Department of Physics, who actively participated in the scientific sessions, discussions, and networking activities.

The conference witnessed participation from a wide range of countries including Pakistan, Türkiye, United Kingdom, Italy, Serbia, Lithuania, Sudan, Netherlands, and Indonesia, reflecting its truly international character and academic significance.
