The 74th Syndicate meeting of Government College University Faisalabad was held in the Committee Room of the Old Campus under the chairmanship of Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Rauf Azam. The syndicate members participated actively, and after a comprehensive discussion, several financial, administrative, and academic decisions were made.

The Syndicate approved the development and non-development budget for the financial year 2025–2026, along with the accounts of the financial year 2023–2024 and the revised budget for the financial year 2024–2025. It also approved the adoption of the “Contributory Pension Fund” policy issued by the Government of Punjab for the university.

Based on the recommendations of the Selection Board, the promotions of TTS faculty members and the appointment of a Professor in the Department of Urdu were approved. Furthermore, the contracts of teaching and non-teaching staff at the Main Campus as well as Hafizabad and Chiniot Sub-Campuses were also extended.

The Syndicate also ratified the proceedings of the “Advanced Studies and Research Board” meetings. The members appreciated the efforts of Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Rauf Azam for prioritizing development projects in the university in line with the requirements of the modern era.
