Exclusive Lectures on Personality Grooming and Communication Skills for Female Students at Government College University, Faisalabad

Under the auspices of the Women Development Centre of Government College University, Faisalabad, special lectures were organized for female students residing in the girls’ hostels on the topics of communication skills, dialogue, and professional conversation.
In this regard, Dr. Sadaf Mahmood, Chairperson, Department of Sociology, University of Agriculture, Ms. Kiran Rabbani from the Department of English, and Prof. Dr. Zahra Batool, In-charge Women Development Centre, delivered impactful lectures. They guided the students on the appropriate use of words, confidence building, and effective emotional expression.
On this occasion, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Rauf Azam, while addressing the students directly, said that since the hostel residents live away from their parents, it is the university’s responsibility to equip them with all the essential skills that a daughter learns in a home environment. These skills include etiquette, household management, manners of communication, cleanliness, and personality development, enabling students to lead their lives in a more organized and dignified way.
During a question-and-answer session, the Vice Chancellor assured the students that the university’s transport system would be made more efficient and convenient, and the provision of quality food in the hostels would also be ensured.
He further emphasized that effective communication is a powerful tool that not only refines one’s personality but also enhances self-confidence. He encouraged students to practice expressing their thoughts and emotions with confidence, as this ability will help them achieve distinction and success in both professional and personal life.
He added that the upcoming sessions will be held at the Quaid-e-Azam Auditorium so that a greater number of students can benefit from these lectures.
The ceremony was attended by Prof. Dr. Maryam Rehman, Chairperson Hall Council, wardens of hall councils, and a large number of students.
