Department of Zoology, Government College University Faisalabad organized 2nd International Conference on Applied Zoology (ICAZ-19) under the shelter of Applied Zoological Society of Pakistan (AZSP). Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ali (TI) Vice Chancellor, Quaid e Azam University, Chairman of AZSP-GCUF graced the event as chief guest along with commissioner Faisalabad Mr. Ishrat Ali, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Naeem Khan, VC, University of Baltistan, Skardu and Ex VC, GCWUF, Prof. Dr. Naureen Aziz Qureshi who gave very visionary suggestions. This event was organized under the paternage of Prof. Dr. Shahid Kamal, Vice Chancellor, GCUF. Prof. Dr. Tayyaba Sultana, Chairperson, Department of Zoology, Prof. Dr. Farhat Jabeen, Dean, Faculty of Life Sciences, Dr. Salma Sultana, Dr. Shabana Pervaz, Dr. Azhar Rasul and Faculty members of department of Zoology were among event organizers. In this conference, several foreign keynote speakers Dr. Abdul Shakoor Chaudhry (UK), Prof. Dr. Hasan Huseyin Atar (Turkey), Prof. Dr. Zeliha Selamoglu (Turkey), Dr. Muhammad Asghar (Sweden) and many distinguished zoologists across the country participated. Researchers and students from all over the Pakistan participated and presented their research findings in ICAZ-2019. Fourteen Gold medals were distributed among the distinguished researchers and students from all over the country in recognition of their scientific and academic contributions in the respective field. The closing ceremony of 2nd ICAZ, 2019 was presided by the chief guest Prof. Dr. Shahid Kamal, Vice Chancellor, Government College University Faisalabad along with guest of honor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ali (TI), Chairman AZSP, Vice Chancellor, Quaid e Azam University Islamabad, Prof. Dr. Talat Naseer Pasha, Vice Chancellor, University of Education Lahore, Prof. Dr. M. Naeem Khan, Vice Chancellor, University of Baltistan, Sakardu. They appreciated to realize the importance of Applied Zoology by conducting this mega event according to the need of time and society. They highlighted the importance of Applied Zoology because of its diversified fields All of them appreciated the efforts of Prof. Dr. Tayyaba Sultan, Chairperson, Department of Zoology, Prof. Dr. Farhat Jabeen, Dean, Faculty of Life Sciences, Dr. Salma Sultana and Dr. Azhar Rasul for their endless efforts to make the event successful. They admired the working of The Applied Zoological Society of Pakistan and organizing committee for the success of this mega event.
