Prof. Dr. Shahid Kamal, Vice Chancellor GCUF graced the foundation day, 8th December ceremony of Government College University Faisalabad as Chief Guest. Dr. Muhammad Sharif the senior most Alumnus at the ceremony hoisted the flag along with Mian Khuda Bakhsh Haleemi, Mr. Sikandar-e-Azam Rana President Chamber of Commerce Faisalabad, Dr. Saulat Nawaz, Mr. Fayyaz Butt, Dr. Habib Aslam Gaba, Registrar Mr. Ghulam Ghous, DSA Dr. Nadeem Sohail, Director Career Counselling Prof. Dr. Mazhar Hayat, Prof. Riaz Ahmad, Col (R) Shahid Reheem, officers, staff and Alumni were present at the occasion. Dr. Muhammad Nawaz, Prof. Asmat ullah Khan, Prof. Ehsan, Mr. Yousaf, Mr. Abdul Majeed scholarships and scholarship by Engr. Qamar uz Zaman on merit and need based were distributed among the students through University Financial Aid Office. Dr. Saulat Nawaz briefed the audience about the Alumni initiatives. Mr. Sikandar-e-Azam in his speech not only praised the efforts of Alumni but also ensured his full support. Mian Khuda Bakhsh Haleemi, ex ACS Punjab shared his memories. Prof. Dr. Shahid Kamal stressed to enhance and reanimate the role of Alumni for progress of GCUF. He distributed the souvenirs and shields among the participants for their contribution. A welcome tea was arranged by the Alumni for the chief guest and participants of the ceremony. Dr. Muhammad Sharif offered dua at the end. Clean and green plantation walk was also organized at the end.
