About Prof. Dr. Humayun Abbas

Professor Dr. Humayun Abbas did his Ph.D. from Baha-ud-Din Zakariya University Multan, 2002. He remaind post Doc. Fellow in University of Glasgow, UK in 2007. He won the national award by the Government of Pakistan on writing the best books on Seerah Study entitled " Social Welfare in the light of the teachings of the Holy Prophet (صلی اللّٰہ علیہ وسلم) " and “Uloom-al-Seerah” He holds the honour of the membership of Islamic Research Council Lahore & Markaz-e-Tahqiq Faisalabad. Dr. Humayun Abbas started his professional Career in the year 2000 from Mohyuddin University, Azad Kashmir. Later on, he served Government College University Lahore, while since 2011 he has been serving the Government College University Faisalabad as Dean, Principal College of Oriental Languages, Incharge, Rehmatul-lil-Alameen Seerat Chair, Member Syndicate and Professor. He is the author of many books and research papers/ articles, supervised many M.phil & Ph.D thesis. Since joining the Government College University, Faisalabad, he worked hard to boost the departmental activities, organized the conferences and seminars at national as well as international level. Moreover, he left no stone unturned to set up the Seerah Chair and Tasawwuf Study Centre in Government College University, Faisalabad.
