Vice Chancellor’s Visit to Different Departments of University

Pakistan 90 million youth can move country to the new era of progress by turning all stones to attain modern knowledge, which is a prerequisite for coping with challenges of changing world, said Government College University Faisalabad Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Zakir Hussain on Friday.

He was talking to students during his visit to different classes situated in Yusuf Block and Takbeer Block, GCUF. Director Advanced Studies Dr Hazoor Muhammad Sabir, Dr Umair Arshad Bajwa, Deputy Director Students Affairs Zeeshan Ahmad Khan and Heads of different Departments were also present on the occasion.

The Vice Chancellor said educated youth is the guarantee of good future and we are lucky enough to have around half of population consisting of youths. He also said that quality education was the only way to the development and trained manpower decide the fate of any nation.  He also called for promoting the book reading habits amongst the university students to refurbish and update their knowledge enabling them to compete at international level.

Talking about the foreign educational scholarships, he advised the students to remove their deficiencies in the GRE/ TOEFL and IELTS tests, which is requirement to study abroad. He urged the students to ensure their 100 percent presence in their classrooms because they are the future leaders of their fields and it was the only education which would help them make right decisions.  He stressed the need to make books as their friends because it acts as the best companion whole the life.  He urged the teaching community to put their full efforts to remove the deficiencies of the students and produce a skilled manpower. He also directed to further improve the cleanness and discipline at the campus.
