Punjab Youth Festival Begins

The Government College University Faisalabad is opening a four-day Punjab Youth Festival on Monday (today) at the campus on the directions of Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif.

It brings colorful events for the locals in order to exhibit the technical skills of the students by giving them a proper platform to give voice to their innovative and technical ideas before the public. It will also help promote different sectors, to educate the public and to show the abilities of the students as well in a friendly environment.

According to details, the functions of Cultural Projects, Mili Nagma competition, Dress Show, Handicraft and Paintings will start at 9:30 am ( October 8) at the GCUF whereas Short Film will be displayed at 9:30 am (October 9) and Technical Projects will be opened at 9:30 am (October 11) . Besides it, business entrepreneurship, debate, drama, photography Mushaira and Qirat are included in the Youth Festival. Terming the Punjab Chief Minister initiative as a hallmark step to promoting the skills of the students, GCUF Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Zakir Hussain has directed the high-ranked officials of the varsity to ensure the foolproof arrangements by constituting various committees to run the Festival smoothly.
