The Government College University Faisalabad is kicking off four-day Punjab Youth Festival from October 8 at the campus on the directions of Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif. It will bring the colorful events including the Dress Show, Handicraft, painting, technical project, cultural project, Mili Nagma, short film and many more.
The festival is aimed at promoting different sectors by attracting the locals, to educate them and to exhibit the skills of the students as well. It will also provide opportunity for the locals to entertain and get refuge from the routine matters.
The Vice Chancellor, Prof Dr Zakir Hussain has directed the high-ranked officials of the varsity to make the foolproof arrangements by turning all stones in this regard. The different committees have been constituted, on the directions of the Vice Chancellor, to monitor and run the festival smoothly to make it a success story.
In this regard, a meeting of advisory committee was held which was convened by Dean Faculty of Management and Administrative Science Prof Dr Muhammad Shahbaz Arif while Dean Science and Technology Dr Naureen Aziz Qureshi, Dean Faculty of Social Sciences Prof Dr Pervaiz Azeem, Director Human Resource Muhammad Akram, Director Students Affairs (focal person of the festival) Mazhar Hayat, Director Sports Rafiq Wahla, DDSA Abdul Qadir Mushtaq, DDSA Zeeshan Ahmad Khan, In-charge Fashion and Design Tehmina Afzal were also present.
