Kastanmonu University, Turkey and Government College University, Faisalabad signed an MOU on 07-11-2015. On this occasion, while expressing his views, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ali, Vice Chancellor, Government College University, Faisalabad, Medal of Excellence, appreciated the academic and research activities and distinctions of the University and marked it as one of the most famous and renowned universities of Pakistan that are playing a leading role in the research field.
GCUF is offering Ph. D programs in 22, M. Phil programs in 39 and BS(H)program in 45 disciplines. More than 32000 students are enrolled in the University. The guest rector Prof. Dr. Seyit Aydin also lauded this joint venture between the Universities and declared it as a very positive step for the researchers of both the Islamic countries. He further added that the project would prove an effective medium in highlighting the academic and research achievements of both the countries.
The signing of MOU between both the Muslim countries is considered to be a historical moment that would help the university students as well as research scholars showcase their skills. Mr. Aydin showed a great sense of ownership towards the University and hoped that such Islamic highest seats of learning would play a very vital role in promoting education.
On this occasion, Prof. Dr. Humayun Abbas, Dean Faculty of Islamic and Oriental Learning, Government College University, Faisalabad said that collaboration of more than 10 programmes would strengthen the bilateral relations between the countries. Moreover, both the Universities, by organizing educational and research oriented projects, conferences and symposiums, would play their role in solving the tensions faced by Muslim community around the globe.
