In order to ensure that University affiliated colleges work towards achieving excellence through continuous improvements in their quality and effectiveness, the HEC has taken a significant initiative of improving standard of education in colleges affiliated with Pakistani Universities/DAIs and in this regard it has developed the Minimum Quality Standards (MQS) to evaluate/assess the physical infrastructure and academic resources at affiliated colleges.
To implement the above said quality standards in affiliated colleges the Quality Enhancement Cell, Government College University, Faisalabad organized one day seminar for affiliated colleges on February 16, 2017. Two focal persons from each affiliated colleges (Government Sector) were participated in the seminar.
Prof. Dr. Hamayoun Abbas were the Guest of Honor of the seminar. Prof. Dr. Nasir Amin, Director QEC has very skillfully discussed the contribution of the University and QEC in ensuring and enhancing the quality of education in the University. Prof. Dr. Hamayoun Abbas also shared his valuable views about quality education and the roll of faculty in enhancing the quality of education.
Dr. Muhammad Nawaz Deputy Director, QEC shared his knowledge regarding Quality Assurance and its implementation at Higher Education Institutions (HEIs). In the second session Ms. Tahira Rasheed, Coordinator QEC discussed the procedure of implementation of Self Assessment Program at their colleges. It was very fruitful seminar.
